Bond, Doris (nee Feldner), 97, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, August 3, 2017. Mrs. Bond was born in Pittsburgh, PA and was a resident of Lyndhurst for over 70 years. Doris worked as a sales representative for Avon for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, which she taught at the Lyndhurst Library, and was an avid bowler, playing until age 87 with the Coffee Timers Bowling League in the Lyndhurst Rec and North Arlington Bowl-O-Drome. She was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rutherford for 60 years. Doris is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest Bond, in 1978, by her two sisters, Phyllis Brown and Margie Giebel, and by her grandson, Richard. She is survived by her loving children, Ernest Bond, of Clifton, Doris Hafemann and her husband, Alvin, of Clifton, and Richard Bond and his wife, Rose Ann, of Lanoka Harbor, by her dear brother, George Feldner and his wife, Patty, by her dear 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ, on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2 - 6 PM. All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, August 7 at 9 AM where at 10 AM a funeral service will be held. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
